Uji in Kyoto is one of the most highly praised tea producing regions in Japan. Founded in 1854, Nakamura Tokichi Honten is a tea brand in Uji that safeguards the Japanese tea culture and particularly their Kyoto heritage.
We worked with them in a branding project to achieve a global exposure while maintaining their traditional Kyoto authenticity. We were in charge of a comprehensive creative direction, including the brand strategy, corporate identity reassessment, a new store design direction and uniform design.
