Hanatsubaki

Overview

Launched in 1937, Hanatsubaki is a corporate culture magazine by Shiseido, a leading Japanese beauty company. To celebrate “the 31st Contemporary Poetry Hanatsubaki Award”, we designed a special presentation section in the magazine. Drawing from the style of the prize-winning poem that deconstructed sentences to give them another meaning, we created the typography for the award title and then pulled the characters apart to form different shapes that represent the poem.
