Overview
As part of TOKYO CREATIVE SALON’s original contents, we worked on the concept development, direction, and production of the exhibition Tokyo Trace, held from March 13 to 15, 2026, at Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Sankaku Hiroba East.
Tokyo Trace is an exhibition series that focuses on a fashion designer, exploring their relationship with Tokyo and the influences that have shaped their creative practice. Through selected works, materials, and archival elements, the exhibition seeks to reveal the layers of dialogue between designer and city.
The very first edition featured NOMARHYTHM TEXTILE, a Tokyo-based brand by Masako Noguchi and Takuma Sasaki, marking the brand’s 20th anniversary and tracing the evolution of its work. Extending beyond fashion, NOMARHYTHM TEXTILE has developed a multidisciplinary practice spanning textiles, furniture, and objects. Through its archive, the exhibition presented an evolving trajectory from past to present, while opening up new possibilities for the future. It also offered insight into the ideas and creative processes behind their work, including collaborations with brands and artists both in Japan and abroad.
The Tokyo Trace logo is designed around the initial “T” combined with the motif of an eye, representing a perspective that continuously observes the changing city and its diversity.
